WEEKLY winners: Sunday, February 25 rain played havoc with bowls over the week. We were lucky enough to get some Great 8 games in.
Our Yellow and Green teams had wins over Buderim and Pacific Paradise on Sunday (round 1 games).
The Red and Ladies teams did not play.
Tomorrow, March 2 open jackpot pairs will be on at 1pm.
Saturday, March 3 Great 8's Division 1 Red Team play Buderim away.
Division 3 Yellow Team play Solander Lakes at home.
Division 5 Green Team play Kawana at home.
Ladies Division 3 Topaz team play Kawana away.
Any player unavailable let Julian, Gary or Mark know as soon as possible.

Sunday, March 18 will be the next RSL day with a 10.30am start.

FRIDAY, February 16, Scroungers. 10 players on a faster dry green.
Winner on the day was Steve Lawler by two points from Carol Crosbie, Arthur Nixon and Gary Holyoak.
Steve won the free draw voucher along with a meal voucher for our bistro. Well done Steve.
Saturday February 17, Men's Championship Pairs.
First round was won by Trevor Uhl and Allan Lydiate defeated Steve Lawler and Peter Barnett 25/9.
Dennis Kerr and Noel Crosbie defeated John and Gary Holyoak 20/16.
Cliff Shaw and Trevor McDonald defeated Ed S. and Bruce Gordon 28/7.

Sunday, February 18 Ladies Social winners were the triples team of John Moffitt, Terry Chamberlain and Stefan Williams.
Tuesday, February 20 Men's Social Jackpot pairs.
Cooler conditions on this day saw Wendy Ryan and Steve Baxter combine well again to come out winners on 2 wins plus 24.
Runners up Aileen and Peter Barnett with 1 win plus 11.
The jackpot did not go off so will roll over to next week.
Thursday, February 22 was ladies social. Unfortunately this day was too wet for play.
Friday, February 23 was Scroungers. Only a handful of players braving the conditions.

Saturday, February 24 will be Men's Championship Pairs.
Second round saw Trevor McDonald and Cliff Shaw defeated Allan Wegner and Alan Heaslip.
Barry Richardson and Bill Harris defeated Neil Currell and Graham Parker.
Bron Sniegowski and Steve Garbutt defeated Allan Lydiate and Trevor Uhl. Congratulations to the winning teams.
Sunday, February 25 will be ladies social. Mary Lucas, John Moffitt and John Dowie defeated George Falzon, Lesley Shaw and Leanne Innes.
Fours, if they have not been played will be today at 9am with the final played at 12.30pm. BYO lunch please.

Stephanie's Trophy Day for the Division was held on Tuesday, February 27 what a fantastic turn up was great to see the greens full and representation from all our Clubs. Spiders won by L Locker, V Robertson, J Butler, S Walker. The raffle won by Beryl Murray of Tin Can Bay. The trophies won by L Collins, G Emery, J Calloway, I Thomson, K Gerick, S Ramsey, D O'Neill and M O'Neill.
TODAY'S bowls will be jackpot pairs with play starting at 9.30am. Last Thursday's game and Saturday's Great 8s match against Woombye was not played due to the wet conditions, the Great 8s will be played at a date to be advised. Our club's annual general meeting will be held this Saturday morning, starting time 9am.
TOP scores from last Thursday, February 22 include Mary 45, Merv 36, Charles 36, Joyce 35, Christine 35 and Jack 31. The raffle was donated by Gavin and won by Mary.
Gympie Indoor Bowls
Gympie hosted their Five Game Day last Sunday, with a beautiful fine day after the lovely rain. The day was well attended by teams from Palmwoods, Caloundra, Wondai, Gayndah, Maryborough, Hervey Bay and our local teams. The strong competition and social activity was enjoyed by all members. A lovely morning and afternoon tea was served by the Gympie members. Thank you to the ladies and men who worked in the kitchen. Many lucky door prize winners were well spread around the clubs. The fruit tray raffles were won by W Young and a Maryborough member. The winners for the day 1st prize went to Maryborough Team, 2nd to the Caloundra Team and 3rd Hervey Bay Team. An Association Social will be held this Saturday, March 3 at 1pm. Tuesday Night Bowls, the Raffle was donated by Paul and won by B Pearce. High Scores were J Watkins 59, C Pearce 48, P Tierney 47, D Tierney 52, B McGuinness 39 and A Goldsworthy 35. Triples will be held on Saturday, March 24 at noon, please nominate your team to Games Controller.
Suburbs Indoor Bowls
After a big day on Sunday for the five-game day numbers were down on Monday. High scores Joan 24 Barb 22 Jack 29 and John 17. For Saturday, March 3 social please bring a lucky door prize and some goodies for afternoon tea.
