Aussie sticking to his guns for shot at Djokovic

THANASI Kokkinakis says he will stick to his game plan in tonight's third-round clash with top seed Novak Djokovic at the French Open after staging a miraculous comeback to oust fellow Aussie Bernard Tomic.

The 19-year-old wildcard (pictured) looked in trouble after losing the first two sets, and then 5-2 down in the decider, but rallied to take the match 3-6 3-6 6-3 6-4 8-6.

"Obviously he's barely lost this year," Kokkinakis said of his clash with the world No.1. "So it's going to be a tough task for sure.

"But I'm not going to change my game plan - I'm going to try and do what I do well, and hopefully it works against him."

Kokkinakis is one of two Aussie men to reach the third round.

The other is No.29 seed Nick Kyrgios who takes on third seed Andy Murray tonight. Kyrgios was given a walkover by second-round opponent Kyle Edmund.
