BMX riders standing up against bullying

JC EPIDEMIC freestyle BMX team dropped in on Monkland State School recently to present an awesome BMX show on its portable half-pipe.

Students from Kia Ora State School and Gympie Special School headed to Monkland to check out the action.

Led by MC Dave, freestyle riders Dale O'Brien and 16-year-old Josh Matthews wowed the crowds with mind-blowing tricks.

MC Dave also delivered an important message to students about the seriousness of bullying.

He spoke to kids about the fine line between having fun and bullying and reminded them that "bullying is not cool, will never be cool, and bullies are not allowed on the JC team".

MC Dave also encouraged any kids with bullying issues to talk to teachers and school staff.

Monkland State School shares MC Dave's philosophies on bullying and has a zero-tolerance policy.
