UPDATE: Man, 36, killed in crash near Gympie
UPDATE: Police are appealing for witnesses after a single vehicle traffic crash at Kin Kin, near Noosa on Sunday afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 4.30pm, a Mitsubishi Magna was travelling along Sister Creek Road when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
The driver and sole occupant, a 36-year-old man from Eumundi was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for anyone who saw the car on Sister Creek Road prior to or after the crash to contact police.

EARLIER: Forensic Police are at the scene of a serious crash near Gympie tonight.
The single-vehicle crash happened just after 4.30pm on Sister Tree Creek Road at Kin Kin, in the Gympie region.
It is believed a car collided with a tree, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said.
"Police are at the scene and are investigating," the spokeswoman said.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the incident was now being investigated by the police.
