British Airways fire drama: 150 evacuated from 777
MORE than 150 passengers and crew have been evacuated from a Boeing 777, which caught fire on the tarmac at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
The 275-seat aircraft, British Airways flight number 2276, was bound for London's Gatwick Airport.
Witnesses said the aircraft had an engine failure while attempting to take off at 4.22pm local time.

That was confirmed by a spokesman from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane had just 159 passengers and 13 crew members aboard.
The passengers were evacuated using the plane's emergency slides and were returned to the terminal by bus.
