Bruce Highway exit fix to ease driver frustration
CHANGED traffic arrangements on the Bruce Highway construction site this evening should bring some relief for frustrated motorists.
The change at Exit 194 will mean westbound drivers leaving the Sunshine Motorway no longer have to wait for gaps in the northbound traffic exiting the Bruce Highway.
The new arrangements are scheduled to be implemented on Thursday night so people driving to work, school and other activities will be able to access the new, though temporary, intersection on Friday morning.
The current northbound Bruce Highway exit ramp (Exit 194) to the Sunshine Motorway was to close with traffic temporarily detoured onto a new ramp.
The temporary northbound Bruce Highway Exit 194 will be located about 900m past the northbound highway entry ramp from Aussie World.
Traffic signals will be provided at the intersection of the temporary exit (194) and northbound highway entry ramp from the Sunshine Motorway.
The chances should improve both traffic flow and safety.
The Caloundra Rd to Sunshine Motorway, Bruce Highway roadworks are conducted at night from Sunday to Thursday from 7pm to 5am and during the day from Monday to Saturday from 6am to 6pm.
