THIS year's Widgee Bush Balladeers was well attended with followers arriving from as far south as Melbourne and as far north as the Atherton Tablelands.

Regulars from Gympie and the Sunshine Coast were also much in evidence with everyone sitting back and once again enjoying the ballads and songs they love the hear.

The bush poets outdid themselves once again with "tall tales but true”, entertaining one and all with their yarns, poems and stories of the bush.

The performers were all well received and enjoyed with local artist Alice Benfer also putting in a wonderful performance.

After three full days of music and poetry it was time to shake off the Widgee dust and head for home, as the showgrounds slowly emptied and the music faded away.
