Coast foodie in world first cooking program innovation

A SUNSHINE Coast woman's home cooking innovation is attracting attention across Australia.

Buderim woman Ashley Jubinville has launched Cook With Me LIVE, billed as the world's first online, interactive and live cooking show.

The program kicked off three months ago, and while Sunshine Coast residents make up the majority of members others have registered from Adelaide, Perth and remote towns Mrs Jubinville said she'd never heard of.

Mrs Jubinville leads the cooking show on Facebook Live to the group of members each week, chatting directly with viewers who are able to ask questions or make comments throughout the show.

Members are sent the recipe and preparation list a week in advance so they can be ready to cook along.

Mrs Jubinville started the program after running popular cooking classes on the Coast for more than two years.

"The demand outside of the Sunshine Coast for my programs was so high, I decided to bring the face-to-face realness of my programs into people's homes via technology," she said.

Mrs Jubinville said the program's main selling point was that it was "so much more than the recipe".

"I have time to talk about other things in the kitchen that's going to make their life easier," she said.

All the recipes are allergen and gluten free, but also simple and nutritious without sacrificing taste.

Mrs Jubinville is a coeliac, and said she wanted to make a difference for other families with gluten intolerance.

"I wanted to show families how easy and affordable it is to prepare healthy whole-food meals whilst negotiating the maze of allergens and bringing nutritional balance back to our plates," Mrs Jubinville said.

She said her favourite recipe was the savoury pancacke with sweet potato, zucchini, carrot herbs and onion.

"I've had no child that can taste vegetables in it," she said.
