Family rallies to elderly couple after Darling Downs fire
UPDATE: A elderly couple who lost everything in a house fire near Dalby overnight is cleaning up the scene and working out their next move.
A fire broke out in the laundry at the back of the property on Dalby-Jandowae Rd.

The couple said they had insurance.

Dalby police report the couple was woken by a noise in the laundry of their Dalby-Jandowae Rd home just before midnight Thursday and rose to find a fire near a refrigerator and freezer in the laundry.
When attempts to put out the fire were unsuccessful, the couple left the house and awaited emergency services.
