QRI's annual general meeting has been brought forward to Thursday, July 20 at Albert Bowls Club at 3pm.

THE Champion of Champion Fours was played last week with the final being played at Imbil between Pomona and Albert.

Congratulations to the Albert team of Janelle Walker, Kris Gerick, Valda Robertson and skip Colleen Dobson for taking the title. They played great bowls.

Congratulations also to the runner-up team from Pomona.

Denise Debus, Jocelyn Rabjohns, Linda MacDougall and skip Veronis O'Connor.

The C of C Pairs will be played at Albert on Monday, July 10.

It was great to welcome two visiting couples to the club for a game on Monday night, everyone is invited to drop in for a casual game, name in by 3.30 for a 4pm start.

RAFFLE on the day was donated by Cliff and won by gentle Gavin.

Cliff won with a score of 55 after some very stiff competition. He showed us how the game should be played. Hester played her usual great game with 49, Marilyn with 41, then Joyce played well but only came with a score of 40.

ON SUNDAY Gympie was host for a five game day of bowls, with visitors from the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Bowling clubs.

Strong competition from all players made a very enjoyable day.

A Suburbs team came out the winners, P Kerr, J O'Shea, & G Martin. 2nd was B McGuinness, B Hall, C Pearce, B Lawrence. 3rd G Portas, H Everett, J Parsons & J Barnes.

The Raffles were won by C Pearce & M Rigby.3rd went to Leo from Gayndah.

Lucky door prizes were well spread among members with visiting clubs winning the majority.

Many thanks to members for their donations.

There will be no bowls this weekend. Association social on the 15th.

Suburbs will hold their social on the 22nd. Please nominate for the pairs on the 29th of July.

At Tuesday night bowls the raffle was donated by J Watkins & won by W Young.
