LEADER of the Australian Independents Dr Patricia Petersen said she was delighted her party had endorsed candidate Bradley Tanks to contest the seat of Groom at the upcoming federal election.

Dr Petersen said Mr Tanks had the right combination of business savvy, economic nous and awareness of social and environmental issues.

"Given his experience, skills and qualifications, he is perfectly placed to genuinely represent the constituents of Groom and be a strong voice for them in parliament," Dr Petersen said.

"As a business advisor, Mr Tanks has travelled nationally and internationally and provided high level enterprise investment and sustainable business strategy implementation to leading family, private and public organisations."

Mr Tanks said he was drawn to the Australian Independents because of the party's focus on true representation.
