"The team's playing really well so far,” he said.

"We dropped a lot of ball in the first half, but our defence has been excellent and we have been defending really well.

"We are starting to get our groove of the game.”

Brunjes encouraged the Mustangs to use the windy conditions to their advantage in the second half.

"If we have ball control, we will get the win today,” he said.

Over at the opposion side, Cherbourg coach Errol Simpson drummed into his team that now was the time to play the field and not just focus on tries.

"We need to play harder and no more silly decisions,” he said.

"You cannot run the ball if we do a lot of tackling.

"Let's use our speed, because now is the time to use it.”

Simpson concluded the half time talk by telling the Hornets that this was the "time to be heroes”.
