Jasmine wins another science award
ST PATRICK'S College dux Jasmine Colley added another feather to her already impressive scientific cap when she received a
Peter Doherty Excellence in Science and Science Education award.
Jasmine was one of 21 Year 12 students, science teachers and support officers, school communities and science education partners in Queensland to share in the awards, worth a total of $83,000.
Earlier this year, Jasmine was chosen as the only Queenslander to attend the London International Youth Science forum.
As a member of the Young Scientists of Australia, she regularly encourages fellow students to be enthusiastic about science and become involved in science and mathematics competitions.
Jasmine plans to study a Bachelor of Science, majoring in mathematics and physics and eventually pursue a PhD in particle physics.
