Only an idiot would put barbed wire across track
HOW would you feel if you were responsible for killing another human being?
That question is one that should be levelled at the person who strung barbed wire between two trees in the state forest west of Gladstone.
The result in this instance was a good number of cuts and scratches, but it could have been significantly worse.
And it happened just because some deranged person decided, for whatever reason, to wilfully endanger another person's life.
Nobody has the right to perform such a disgraceful act, and whoever the perpetrators are should have the book thrown at them.
Perhaps the person who strung the wire across the gap was annoyed by the sound of motorbikes. Perhaps not.
But whatever the reason, there are right and wrong ways to solve all problems.
This was most certainly not the right way.
The culprits need to be brought to justice before their next killing attempt is successful.
