Man arrested in police hunt to remain behind bars
The man who was at the centre of a five-day manhunt across the Coast will remain behind bars until his next court appearance.
Kendall Arthur Poole, 38, was arrested on Thursday when specialist police and detectives raided a Yandina property and found Mr Poole and woman he was believed to be hiding with.
The arrest marked the end of a five-day manhunt for Mr Poole who was wanted for questioning over several alleged offences including assault and armed robbery.
Detectives had appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of Mr Poole who was believed to be camping at Coochin Creek.
Police previously alleged Mr Poole punched and kicked a man known to him on December 19.
The man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Mr Poole appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday charged with acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, common assault, armed robbery and threats.
The matter was adjourned for committal mention on April 30 and Mr Poole was remanded in custody.
No bail application was made.
