Woman 'dead in pool of blood, gripping screw driver'
A 50-year-old man has been charged with the domestic violence murder of a woman after she was found dead in a pool of her own blood inside a house in a suburb north of Brisbane.
A crime scene was declared after the 45-year-old woman was found dead in a Narangba house just after 4pm yesterday.
She was tightly gripping a screw driver in her hand when police arrived.
Her body was originally found during a welfare check at an address on Hemlock Court.

The scene was first thought to be non-suspicious but the circumstances of the investigation changed overnight.
Investigations led police to a nearby residence where a 50-year-old man who was known to the woman was arrested.
The Courier-Mail has been told the woman was found by police in a pool of her own blood.
She was tightly gripping a screw driver in her hand when police arrived.
The man was this morning charged with murder (domestic violence offence) and will appear in Pine Rivers Court today.
A neighbour was home all yesterday but didn't hear anything, saying it's a friendly and safe neighbourhood.
"They had blocked the street off last night, so out the back there is a walkway that goes out to New Settlement Road and there was a pile of cops with torches doing a search," the neighbour said.
"Yesterday we saw cop cars everywhere and when it happens in your street, you think, did we miss something?"
