Marvel's Deadpool has an Australia Day message for you

RYAN Reynold's anti-superhero character Deadpool has released a special Australia Day message.

The actor recorded the humorous clip wearing a cork hat over his character's signature red and black costume.

Reynold stars as the sarcastic former special forces operative turned mercenary who was subjected to a rogue experiment giving him accelerated healing powers in the February 11 release.

A strong language warning on this one:

There's a not-so-subtle jibe in there about the first time Reynolds portrayed the character Deadpool (real name Wade Wilson) in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine opposite Hugh Jackman.
