Mary Valley on show as date set for Boar premiere

HORROR movie director Chris Sun will put the Mary Valley on show for the world premiere of his film Boar in Nambour this October.

Mr Sun announced to Facebook that the premiere in his hometown at the Nambour Majestic Theatre on October 29 will be a "full gala event" with stars from the film.

Just 50 early bird tickets are up for grabs at $80 each before prices go up to $110.

Kandanga and surrounding areas was star-struck last year for the movie filming, and the iconic Kandanga Hotel was immortalised in film just months before it burned to the ground.

Organisers are set to invite the entire cast of the film to the premiere, but have not confirmed which stars will be at the event.

Mr Sun had earlier planned to premiere the film at the Gympie Cinemas, which he owned at the time, but later said the venue was too small.
