Michael on the art trail in Gympie

TAKE the first step on an artistic journey and come to the launch of the Gympie Region Studio Trails on Friday.

The Gympie Region Studio Trails guide will guide residents and visitors to some amazing and creative spaces, detailing artist galleries and studios which will be open for viewing at specific times throughout the year, including special open studio weekends.

The Gympie Region Studio Trails program and guide will be unveiled at the Pop-Up Gallery, 24 Mary St, on Friday from 5.30pm and local artists featured in the guide will be displaying their artworks at the launch.

Guest speaker is Michael Doneman, the founding director of Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship.

An engaging speaker, Michael has more than 20 years' experience in education and community cultural development.

The evening will also feature live music, finger food and a cash bar.

The Gympie Region Studio Trails guide has been produced with the financial support of the Queensland Government through the Regional Arts Development Fund.
