Missing something? Hunt is on for GoPro owner
IT'S endured endless days rolling in the surf at Mooloolaba beach, massive storms and huge swell and now the memories inside a missing camera have been unearthed once more.
Now the hunt is on for its owner.
Brisbane man Ashley Debule has shared photos of a group of men surfing in hopes of finding the owner of a Go Pro found washed up at Mooloolaba.
Mr Deuble's parents were holidaying at Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park last week when they spotted the camera wedged between the rocks on the esplanade.
The camera was covered in seaweed and barnacles and looked a little worse for wear.
They handed the Go Pro over to their son and now he's searching online for the owner.
He posted photos off the camera, which date back to August 2014, online on Reddit with hopes of widening the search.
"The Go Pro has probably been in the water for a long time, there's things growing all over it," Mr Deuble said.
"It was in its clear water proof case still and has an orange float which had disintegrated almost.
"I have a Go Pro and I take it mountain biking so I know I'd love to get mine back if I ever lost it.
"They've probably moved on, but it will still be great to hand it back to the rightful owner."
