Mum transforms body, wows judges at championships
IN ONE year Tamlyn Wolfenden lost 25kg and become a fitter and much healthier version of her previous self.
The Toowoomba mum-of-three is proud of her achievements and entered the inaugural Queensland Transformation Championships in Brisbane last weekend.
She entered the transformation up to one year category, and took out second place after competing against other women from around the state.
Mrs Wolfenden said she was thrilled to come in second place.
"The woman who won lost 52kg in a year so she hands-down deserved to win and I was honoured to come in at second place behind her," she said.
"I'm proud of what I've achieved and was a little nervous going on stage but I loved it.
"It was great to hear everyone's stories."
Her transformation journey started six months after her giving birth to her third child, when she signed up with Fernwood.
She said she wanted to be a healthy role model for her children.
"I was unhappy with how I looked and I longed for my pre-baby body back," she said.
"With three children under four at that stage, I was unsure how I would achieve my goal but I made the commitment and showed up each day, with the help of the gym's creche."
She challenged herself, ate healthy and focused on weight training.
Now Mrs Wolfenden works out five times a week and is preparing to enter another competition in 12 weeks.
She is training for the ICN Queensland State Championships in October, registering in the sports model division for novices and mums.
