Muster will reveal a new album from The Sunny Cowgirls

ONE of Australia's best loved country music groups, The Sunny Cowgirls, will celebrate the release of their new album with two big performances at the Gympie Muster tomorrow.

Sisters Sophie and Celeste Clabburn will perform on the main stage at 5.30pm, and at the Crow Bar at 9.30pm, to coincide with the launch of My Old Man.

The band's seventh album, the singing/songwriting duo put together My Old Man as a collection of songs loved by their Dad.

From the Beatles to Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac to Neil Young, the eclectic song choice gives an insight into the sisters' musical upbringing and the many influences that have shaped their successful recording and touring career.

"Our Dad is a huge inspiration to us and our music," the pair said.

"He brought us up on these songs, and taught us what good music was."

As always, Sophie and Celeste bring their own style and unique sound to the iconic songs.

The album is also the first time the duo haven taken the role of Producers, a new territory they welcomed.

"It was a lot of hard work, but very rewarding! You don't realise how much is involved until you have a crack at it yourself. It felt great to be behind the wheel and make the decisions we wanted to make."
