New music festival the place to be this summer

A NEW arts and music festival is coming to the Sunshine Coast promising three days of swimming, culture and good vibes.

The team behind the wildly popular Jungle Love Music and Arts Festival and the Brisbane Street Art Festival have today announced their latest creation - Yonder Festival.

The arts and music festival will be held in the Mary Valley from November 28 to December 1 and promises, "a broad spectrum of emerging and established artists across a variety of mediums and genres".

Early bird tickets go on sale August 8 from $180 and the festival's line-up will be announced in September.

Creative director Lincoln Savage said Yonder aimed to foster meaningful relationships through a shared love and respect of the arts.

"Yonder is an experiential arts project that has been built from the ground up to provide a deeply immersive avenue for human communication and connection through the arts."

Both BYO and licensed bars will be available as well as food stalls and a waste management program dedicated to recyclables and sustainable practices.

Punters can divide their time between swimming in the site's freshwater creek and taking in a program packed with visual art, theatre, dance, workshops and talks.
