No bang for buck: Busted after club toilet drug deal

A YOUNG man who bought drugs off a stranger was caught within minutes of handing over his cash.

Dillon Thomas Daniel Curds, 22, pleaded guilty at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday to possessing dangerous drugs at Post Office Bar in Maroochydore last month.

Security caught Curds with a bag of MDMA in the toilet on December 14 at 11.50pm.

The Little Mountain man said he bought the drugs from a stranger in the bar minutes before he was caught by security.

Guards took Curds outside to police where they charged him with the single drug offence.

Curds, who had no criminal history, was ordered to complete a drug diversion course while on four months’ good behaviour.

No conviction was recorded.
