'Ordinary bloke' not quite what Wide Bay needs

LETTER TO THE EDITOR ON LLEW O'BRIEN:

IT WAS with a mixture of dismay and disappointment that I read that the next hopeful LNP candidate for the Federal seat of Wide Bay merely wants to take an "ordinary bloke" perspective to Canberra.
Given that the polls have the LNP and ALP 50-50 at the moment; this hopeful has alienated half of his own voters - the females.

How on earth does he expect to win with only 25% of the vote?
The greatest disappointment of all is that this candidate just wants to be a member of the herd.

He has no ambition, no vision, no drive and no dream for what our region could be.

He just wants to make up the numbers and, in his own words, just be an "ordinary bloke"

.
I hope his party skills him before he does another interview. We could see the ALP in power, taxing, borrowing and free spending on social experiments again until we really are a basket case.
David Collins,
Araluen.
