Palaszczuk to meet with Independent Peter Wellington today

LABOR leader Annastacia Palaszczuk has spoken to media for the first time in days, but only to quickly confirm she was holding talks with cross benchers.

In a statement that lasted less than a minute, she said the cross benchers - independent Peter Wellington and Katter Australian Party MPs Rob Katter and Shane Knuth - had requested meetings.

"And I am more than happy to sit down and have a chat with them, as I have done the last three years," she said Ms Palaszczuk said only the Labor party could offer stability of leadership and that the LNP was in "complete chaos".

"They went to the election with a plan for asset sales. All if their election commitments are based on asset sales. They therefore have absolutely nothing."

She said she was going to talk to Peter Wellington today and offer him stability of leadership and making sure they have integrity and accountability in their government.
