Police quick to respond to car fire on their doorstep

YARRAMAN police were quickly on scene when responding to the report of a car on fire today.

Although officers didn't have far to go as the car fire was literally outside the Yarraman Police Station.

The car's engine had burst into flames just before 10am near the corner of Toomey and Budgen Sts just metres from the police station, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said.

A fire crew quickly extinguished the fire and the car was removed from the scene by a tow truck.

No-one was injured in the incident.
