Pushing limits in South Africa

KEEN cyclists can pedal to their limits as they take part in the famous 110km Cape Argus race in South Africa next year.

Escape Travel is offering a 16-day cycle tour that departs on March 7, 2012 and is exclusively escorted by African Wildlife Safaris co-founder and CEO Steve Cameron.

The tour spends eight days mapping out the Argus route in Cape Town, while taking in the beauty of South Africa's famous Winelands and the spectacular Garden Route, before continuing on to Stanford, Knysna, Port Elizabeth and East London.

Steve Cameron has been cycling for 25 years up and down Melbourne's famous Beach Road and currently races in B Grade Vets and C Grade Open, as well as competing in the Masters races at a state and national level.

Prices per person, starting from $7492* departing Brisbane, from $7491* departing Sydney and Melbourne, from $7503* departing Adelaide and from $7393* departing Perth.

The price includes a return economy class airfare from Australia to Cape Town flying South African Airways, 15 nights' accommodation, breakfast daily, some lunches and dinners, the Cape Argus entry, support from tour escort, transport by safari truck, sightseeing, bike transfers and a team kit.
