Reported pair free to play in bitter finale
BASKETBALL: It will be all hands on deck when the NBL semi-final series between the Hawks and 36ers comes to an explosive end tomorrow night.
Adelaide's Eric Jacobsen and Illwarra's AJ Ogilvy have been cleared to play after being reported during the spiteful opening two games.
Both were fined $375, Jacobsen for striking Michael Holyfield late in game one, and Ogilvy for tripping in game two.
The Hawks levelled the series on their home court on Sunday in a game preceded by 36ers star Jerome Randle calling the hosts "dirty".
"That kind of fuelled our fire," said Hawk Mitch Norton, who scored 19 points in game two.
The winner will meet the Perth Wildcats in the best-of-five-game grand final series starting on Monday.
Hawks coach Rob Beveridge said handling Adelaide's expected sell-out crowd was going to be part of his team's preparation.
"They're pretty boisterous," said Beveridge, who coached his 250th NBL game in Sunday's win.
