Small essays shape state

I JUMPED on the State Government's website yesterday to become one of the not many Gympie region residents to have their say on The Queensland Plan, which Mr Newman says will help shape the "long-term vision" for the Sunshine State over the next 30 years.

Everyone is invited to participate, and it's pretty easy to find the survey.

But the challenge for me - and no doubt anyone who has had their say or who thought about having their say until they read the first question - is the bureaucratic gobbledegook you have to make sense of and respond to in less than 200 words.

Having said that, if you are passionate about Queensland and have faith the powers that be will be true to their word and actually take into account the small essays of tens of thousands of Queenslanders on this survey, allocate yourself 10-20 minutes and join the conversation.
