NOT everyone can say their child was born in a BMW.
But that's the case for Booral's Julian and Shannon Seeger, with Shannon delivering their baby in the front seat of the car before the couple could make it to Hervey Bay Hospital.
The interior of Julian Seeger's BMW E46 became a birthing suite when his wife Shannon gave birth to their second child in the front seat of the car.
Their little boy was delivered safely, but his parents are still in shock and can't believe their son was born there.
On Wednesday morning, Shannon felt a little discomfort and called her husband to take her to the Hervey Bay Hospital to get some pain killers.
"I just wanted to go to the hospital to get something to relieve the pain and I didn't for one second think the baby was going to come out, as he was only due to come out on August 21," Mrs Seeger said.
Mr Seeger, who worked that morning, got a distressing call from his wife urging him to come home.
"As I was pulling into the driveway, she was just wailing and jumped into the car and we took off," he said.
"As we pulled on to Urraween Rd, I looked down and I could see Shannon had ripped her pants off and next minute the baby's head was out."
The next hour was a blur to the parents but they are happy to know that their seven pound baby, Hugo Julius Seeger, is safe and healthy.
