St Pats hitting the stage for a rockin' good time

ST PATRICK'S College is once again taking the stage with a stellar cast of students to entertain the masses - this time with Judith Prior's Rockin' Robin.

Featuring well-known rock music from the '50s, '60s and '70s, this is a musical that audiences can sing along to.

While a school group is rehearsing for a Rock Eisteddfod performance, two students are accidentally transported to the past as a result of an electrical fault in the theatre.

Maddie and William find themselves in medieval Sherwood Forest, greeted by Robin Hood and Little John.

They are quickly swept up in the drama of the cursed village of Locksley and their quest to find the sorcerer's stolen magic ring. And what would a musical be without a few love triangles and magic love potion?

Students have been rehearsing for the production since the end of 2017, but opportunities are presented for more than just the acting/singing/dancing inclined.

College students are involved in all aspects of the production, with a place for musicians in the band, those with technical prowess fielding the lighting and sound department, and who could forget the unsung heroes that are the stage crew?

Rockin' Robin hits the Heritage Theatre stage on May 4, 5 and 6, with both matinee and evening performances.
