SHE'S GOT TALENT: Pole dancing mum gets big yes from judges
A FORMER Hervey Bay mum of three has wowed the judges while performing on Australia's Got Talent.
Kristy Sellars, now living in Ballarat, had welcomed her third child just six months before taking to the stage to perform her incredible pole dancing routine - and judges Nicole Scherzinger, Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel and Lucy Durack were impressed by what they saw.
In the preview to her appearance, Ms Sellars said she had to work hard to be physically prepared for her performance, which featured projections and animations created by Ryan Talbot, a visual artist from Los Angeles.
Ahead of her performance, Ms Sellars said storytelling was an important part of her craft.
"This particular show took about five weeks to put together," she said.
Ms Sellars said she had needed to work "all day, seven days a week" to put together the show and she was thankful to have a really supportive partner.
"Any mum of three would call themselves a busy mum," she said.
"Some days are like clockwork, others you're hanging on by a thread.
"I love being on stage and performing.
"When you have kids, you get wrapped up in everything they are doing.
"I had to work really hard to be here today."
At the conclusion of her incredible performance, Ms Sellars got a standing ovation from the crowd, with Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls fame telling her "You are one righteous babe, mum".
"It was incredibly creative," she said.
Manu was equally impressed with the performance.
"I absolutely loved it, your strength and energy was unbelievable," he said.
All four judges said yes and Ms Sellars progressed to the semi-final stage of the talent competition.
