‘Take medication, bro’: Brother’s plea before Tarantino
"MATE, take medication," Vinzent Tarantino's brother pleaded with him before the former bouncer handed himself in to police for the murder of Quanne Diec.
In reply, the now acquitted Mr Tarantino (pictured) shot back: "I'm sorry, I'm trying to keep you guys alive.
"I don't need medication, the family wants (a) body - they've paid the Rebels."
EXPLICIT LANGUANGE WARNING: Listen to the Tarantino phone taps.

For the first time, the paranoia plaguing Mr Tarantino can be revealed after a jury found him not guilty the murder of the missing 12-year-old.
He had feared being assassinated by bikies so badly that he falsely confessed to killing Quanne in 1998.
A NSW Supreme Court jury on Wednesday acquitted Mr Tarantino of the schoolgirl's murder after almost a week of deliberations. He walked from the court a free man after three years on remand in custody.

Mr Tarantino walked into Surry Hills police station in November 2016 and told police he had abducted Quanne and strangled her in a botched kidnap for ransom bid.
He told friends and family the same story but later recanted the confessions saying he was trying to get locked up for his own safety.
Two psychiatrists and one psychologist agreed Mr Tarantino was suffering from a schizoaffective disorder, which can cause delusions and hallucinations, at the time he confessed.

Yesterday recordings of Mr Tarantino's interviews with detectives and tapped phone conversations were released for the first time.
"When I was out of it on drugs I did a horrible thing," Mr Tarantino told one of his brothers in a phone call.
" … I have to go into police and own up to it.
"I'm going to be charged with murder … I killed a f---ing kid." The brother replied: "What the f… are you talking about? Mate you're an idiot, get on your medication … take some medication bro!"
Mr Tarantino's brothers begged him to seek mental health treatment before he turned himself in.
