Telstra apologises over SMS messages

A READER contacted the NewsMail to say they'd been kept awake last night by SMSes from Tesltra.

The resident said he received the same SMS multiple times through the night and many others had been in the same situation. 

"I personally had an SMS sent every half hour or less between 1am and 7am with 15 messages in total received," he said.

"Not much sleep for me."

A spokesperson for Telstra apologised for the SMSes. 

"A technical error overnight meant we sent some customers multiple SMS messages about mobile phone usage," the spokesperson said.

"These messages are out of date and should be disregarded.

"We sincerely apologise to anyone who received these messages"
