Two taken to hospital after Chatsworth crash Wednesday night
A FISHTAILING caravan is thought to have led to a truck rollover, which closed the Bruce Hwy at Chatsworth for about four hours on Wednesday night, Gympie police said.
A spokeswoman said the caravan appeared to have jack-knifed and collided with a truck carrying molasses, causing the truck to run off the road and spill its load.
The incident occurred near Horton Rd about 6.15pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two patients were transported to Gympie Hospital, each in a stable condition.
A patient, in his or her 70s, was transported with non-life threatening head injuries and the male truck driver, in his mid-40s, suffered fractured ribs and minor head injuries.
The highway was cleared for normal through traffic by about 10.30pm, police said.
