Virgin launches 50 per cent off flights
If you're planing a holiday with kids, Virgin Australia have dropped a deal that may save you around 50 per cent.
Virgin Australia has dropped their biggest kids sale with half price fares for every child aged between two and 11 years travelling within Australia and New Zealand, across all classes.
The offer runs until Wednesday and will apply to flights between February 5 and March 25 and May 1 to May 31 next year when children travel with an adult.
A Virgin spokesperson said the sale follows the trend that 2020 will be the year of family travel.
"We're making it easy and affordable for all families to explore new destinations and take adventures together," the airline said in a statement.
"Travel doesn't have to break the bank and these half-price kids' fares mean that going on a family holiday is now one step closer."
The Australian airline, which this year reported its seventh consecutive year of losses,
said they would be implementing drastic action to claw its way out of the red.
In August, Australia's second biggest carrier announced it would review every single flight route on its network, as well as cut 750 jobs, as part of a drastic restructure to claw back a full-year loss of $349.1 million.
It said its best deals would be local - including fares to Perth, Tasmania, Cairns and Darwin. It ended its code share deal with Air New Zealand last year, but the airline says trips to Queenstown while kids fly half price will also be popular.
