Will acoustic performance save Jimmy from X Factor chop?
AFTER two weeks backed by a band, Jimmy Davis has gone back to basics on The X Factor.
Last night the 22-year-old Gympie-born, Cooran-raised singer impressed viewers and the reality singing show's judging panel with his stripped back version of The Killers' song When You Were Young.
The simple staging was exactly what judge Guy Sebastian asked for last week, saying he enjoyed Davis best when it was just him on stage with a guitar like in his original audition.
But will it be enough to save him from tonight's double elimination?
James Blunt labelled Davis's team mate Cyrus Villanueva as the new singer to beat in the competition.
The X Factor airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 7.30pm on Channel 7.
